Big Bust Bras credit cards is a convenient link to credit card sites.
The credit card balance transfer below is even better than the Halifax one (below), I wish I had seen it before doing the Halifax card, as the fee is only 2.5%
AND the 0% interest is for longer, 13 months instead of 10 is nearly half a year extra.
The only thing to watch out for is, DO NOT PURCHASE with the HSBC card as well as doing a balance transfer, as you will be paying 16.9% on what you buy
for 10 months while the balance transfer still stays at 0%. ONLY IF YOU PAID OFF ALL THE BALANCE TRANSFER FIRST, would you be able to put your repayments
towards reducing the amount being charged at 16.9% per annum.
HSBC Bank Credit Card
This credit card is from my employer, I have taken advantage of it myself, lifesaver just after my Holiday, balance transfer for 10 month's at 0% interest
(3% of balance amount charged as usual). I am still happy with the Halifax credit card deal, as PURCHASES are 0% for the whole 10 months as well
(see the reason why this is good in the HSBC card section above).
Credit Cards from MBNA
This is a useful link as it takes you to the best CashBack site, either search for credit cards on site, or join up to TopCashback, search for credit cards, and get paid some money for joining!
American Express have a cashback credit card
Unfortunately they have dropped the maximum cashback from £200 to £100 in the first 3 months (was 6 months). Credit Crunch, what is it like, eh?
Still, if you are going to use it for the Cash Back Sites (see my information on CashBack Sites) then it is still worth
getting as one of the better rates paid back to you for using it.
Make sure you do not sign up to a version of the card that charges a fee, the Airline one charges £50 a year!!!! (If you are not a premiere account holder with them).
The very British Post Office next, Post Office Credit Card, hope the card is more professional than the advertising banner they supplied for it!
The next section are less useful, in fact I would not touch them with a barge-pole, as they all have fees or charges and time expiry for the cards that means you have to pay to renew them to get
your money off the card when it expires with a balance.
Prepaid cards are only of use to teenagers (it is possible to get paid to some prepaid cards by some survey or Get Paid To Read type sites), or those without a good enough credit rating to get one
of the above "proper" credit cards.
It is possible to withdraw from an ATM "hole-in-the-wall" machine. Usually for a large fee that I find unacceptable.
Be careful if joining any prepaid card scheme. Some charge up to £4.99 a month for "admin fees". Some charge £10 or more to buy the card as well.
Some charge up to 2.75% each time you buy something. Some do all three.
If you only want to get money out then junk the card, best to get one that is free to join, pays no monthly fees (if you want to wait a while before withdrawing),
and does not charge too much for ATM withdrawals.
I am not purporting to say that the ones below are the best, or meet any or all of these qualities, I just supply the links for information. You have to do the research.
under the FSA rules, I cannot be seen to even hint at providing advice specifically to you, or in general.
On the other hand, if all you are trying to do is pay someone, try Ikobo
Alternatively, search for other items, not only Credit Cards, using the handy search box.
